Sanctuary Power is a new-wave company that looks to revolutionise the way we look tosecure energy on a domestic scale by connecting new homeowners to better energysolutions - helping provide people with tomorrows energy, today.

The idea for Sanctuary Power comes from the pressure enacted on people as a result of the UK cost of living crisis pushing up energy prices, and the UK housing crisis pushing up housing costs. Sanctuary Power will look to provide relief to both of these, while also turning a profit.

It aims to do this by providing low-cost energy to households via the means of solar and batteries when a new mortgage is enacted. The solar and batteries would be owned and operated by Sanctuary Power, with energy being sold back to the household at a flat rate below the average market rate.

Owning the batteries and PV will allow Sanctuary Power to aggregate their resources into a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) to conduct energy arbitrage, and leverage smarter charging regimes to open up additional revenue streams. The revenue made from selling energy back to the household, as well as revenues from the VPP aggregation of assets, can be put back into the company as profit at the same time as a fraction of it being put back into the mortgage to reduce the overall amount people have to pay.
